Jajpur registered one more Coronavirus case today, taking the number of infected persons in the district to 19. The new case is a 34-year-old male from Basudevpur area who has a travel history to Kolkata.
Earlier today, two more COVID-19 patients from Bhubaneswar recovered. The total persons cured of the disease in State is now 37 while active cases stand at 73.
Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today stressed on a national uniform Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for smooth movement of all stranded persons including students, migrant workers, pilgrims, patients, professionals. Patnaik also demanded from improving COVID-19 testing facilities and taking care of stranded workers by respective States during his discussion with Prime Minister Narendra Modi via video-conferencing today.
