An official of the Odisha government on Wednesday informed that looking at COVID-19 positivity rate in the State, Coronavirus spread is not as high as compared to other states.

Earlier, the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) spokesperson informed that new guidelines to fight COVID-19 will come into effect after May 3, which shall give considerable relaxations to many districts. The spokesperson added that details regarding the same will be communicated in the coming days.

MHA reportedly conducted a comprehensive review meeting on the lockdown situation today and found tremendous gains and improvement in the situation due to lockdown so far.

"To ensure that these gains are not squandered away, the lockdown guidelines should be strictly observed till 3rd May," tweeted MHA spokesperson.
