[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text] Three Secretary level senior officers have been deputed by the State government to three districts of Balasore, Bhadrak and Jajpur to visit & review COVID-19 situation following a spurt in Coronavirus infection in these districts in the last few days.
Odisha General Administration Department issued an order to this effect on 22nd April 2020 deputing S.K Lohani, the Prinicipal Secretary of Excise department to Bhadrak, Dr. P.K Meherda, Secretary to Governor to Jajpur and S.K Vashishth, Special Secretary, Agriculture & FE to Balasore to make on-site visit and review COVID related management system in the districts and assist the administration in there.
2209 numbers of RT PCR tests were made in the last 24 hours in Odisha taking the tally of cumulative number of RT PCR tests to 15984 in Odisha. No Rapid Antibody Tests were conducted in the state as ICMR had asked to halt temporarily testings with rapid testing kits owing to reports of discrepancies in test results.
Meanwhile, with no positive cases reported in the Capital city since April 15, the Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) on Wednesday withdrew the containment restrictions from Bomikhal, Satya Nagar and Surya Nagar areas.
However, active surveillance in these areas will continue till the next seven days as a measure of precaution, a BMC notification said.
