Mumbai: The 30-scrip Sensitive Index (Sensex) on Wednesday opened on a positive note during the morning session of the trade and soon entered the negative range.

The Sensex of the BSE opened at 39,907.57, touched a high of 39,908.47 and a low of 39,732.38.

The Sensex is trading at 39,776.60 down by 39.88 points or 0.10 per cent from its Tuesday's close at 39,816.48.

On the other hand, the broader 50-scrip Nifty at National Stock Exchange (NSE) opened at 11,932.15 after closing at 11,910.30 on Tuesday.

The Nifty is trading at 11,897.20 points in the morning.
