It seems the State-run Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd (BSNL) has gone aggressive to add new subscribers during the ongoing twelfth season of Indian Premier League (IPL). The company has offered Rs 199 and Rs 499 plans to let its customers watch the IPL on smartphone as the matches are live on Hotstar. According to Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) data, BSNL has added 9.82 lakh mobile subscribers in January and has been leaving no stone unturned to expand its customer base.

The telecom service provider has come up with Rs 199 prepaid plan with a validity of 28 days. Bundled with unlimited voice calls and daily 1 GB data benefits, the Rs 199 plan offers cricket Personalized Ring Back Tone (PRBT) and Cricket SMS Alerts for IPL matches to stay update on IPL matches.

If someone wants 1 GB data for an extended period, the bigger Rs 499 plan of BSNL will be more suitable. The plan offers 1 GB data daily with validity of 90 days. Moreover, free unlimited voice calling, free cricket PRBT and cricket SMS alerts are offered under the Rs 499 plan as similar to that of the Rs 199 plan. The plan additionally offers 100 SMSses each day for three months.
