Youth shot at by bikers on Cuttack-Bhubaneswar road in broad daylight

Bhubaneswar: A youth was shot at by unidentified miscreants near Telangapentha on Cuttack-Bhubaneswar road Wednesday morning.

The injured has been identified as Kartik Khatei of Samantarapur in Khurda.

As per sources, Khatei was on way to Cuttack when suddenly two bike-borne miscreants intercepted and fired at him. Khatei sustained injury on his right leg.

Critical, he was rushed to the SCB medical college and hospital in Cuttack where he is undergoing treatment.

Meanwhile, police have reached the spot and begun investigation into the incident, sources added. "The miscreants have not been identified yet as they fled the spot after firing at Khatei. From preliminary investigation, it is suspected that the incident is a fallout of a family dispute. Search is on and they will be arrested." said a police official.
