Woman, daughter found dead inside house, murder suspected

Sundergarh: A woman and her daughter were found dead under mysterious circumstances inside their house at Orampada village under Hemgiri police limits in Sundergarh district today.

Sources said, Patris Minz who returned from his work today morning found his  wife along with daughter lying dead but fortunately, recovered his one-and-half-year-old son alive who was later rushed to Hemgiri hospital in critical condition.

Narrating the incident, Minz said, “When I returned from work, I saw my wife and daughter dead. My son has sustained injuries on head. I called my neighbours and other villagers and then informed the police about the incident. Police have detained a person named Shalil in this connection. He works as a driver for a parcel company.”

Police suspect it to be a case of murder and have started an enquiry into the incident.
