DA case: Bolangir Soil Conservation Officer in vigilance net

Bolangir: Vigilance sleuths today conducted raids at the residence and office of Shankirtan Bishi, Additional Project Director of Soil Conservation and Watershed department, on charges of amassing properties disproportionate to his known sources of income.

Acting on a tip off, vigilance officials led by DSP Parmeswar Kishan raided five different places including Bishi’s residence, office and houses of his relatives.

“We are raiding simultaneously at five different places including Bishi's residence and office at Rajendra Para here, ancestral house at Bakati village in Loisingha block, residence of his wife at Bhawanipatna and his in-laws house at Sohela in Bargarh district,” said Kishan.

As per latest reports, no assessment of properties has been made till now.

Talking to media persons Bishi said, “I do not have any illegal properties and presently the investigative officials are inspecting my residence. I think someone in my office have conspired against me and complained to the police.”
