5-yr-old girl killed using ‘black magic’

Jeypore: Three persons were detained by police today for killing a 5-year-old girl allegedly using black magic in Sorasapadar village under Pottangi police limits in Koraput district.

After villagers came to know about the girl’s’ death they ransacked the house of three persons including one Bibhisana on suspicion of their involvement. There they a found trident and other puja items. Following this the police lodged a complaint and detained the three.

On July 22, the five-year-old daughter of Puruba Dishari went missing and remained untraceable until her dead body was found from a nearby forest on July 29. Villagers found the dead body with hair, fingers and tongue cut. They alleged Bibhisana killed the girl as sacrifice as he practices witchcraft.
