Sharjah: Rajasthan Royals (RR) on Friday won the toss and chose to bowl against Delhi Capitals (DC) at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium. RR restricted DC at 184 runs in the first innings of the 23rd IPL 2020 match. RR could manage to score only 184 runs at a loss of 8 wickets in 20 overs.
While RR are looking to turn around the poor run of form that has seen them succumb to a hat-trick of defeats, DC come into the match on the back of a dominant 59-run win against Royal Challengers Bangalore.

Steve Smith won the toss and decided that Rajasthan Royals will bowl first against Delhi Capitals in Sharjah in their Indian Premier League match. Andrew Tye was handed his Royals debut, he came in place of Tom Curran while Varun Aaron replaced Ankit Rajpoot. The Capitals decided not to tinker with their winning combination and stuck with the same XI.
Shreyas Iyer was run out for 22 after Jofra Archer dismissed Shikhar Dhawan in his first over and then stopped a rampaging Prithvi Shaw on his tracks. Dhawan had scored 5 runs while Prithvi collected 19 runs.
Marcus Stoinis hit three sixes against Shreyas Gopal to as Delhi Capitals counter-attacked. However, Rahul dismissed him at 39 runs which he scored in 30 balls.
Kartik Tyagi dismissed Shimron Hetmyer (45) before he could score his fifty. Axar Patel also was dismissed at 17 runs, while Harsh Patel was dismissed at 16 runs. The team could manage to score only 184 runs at a loss of 8 wickets.
