PM Modi’s Odisha Visit LIVE: PM dedicates development projects worth over Rs 50,000 crore to nation

Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited Jharsuguda today to attend the ‘Namo Yuva Samabesh’ and unveil a series of mega projects. He landed at VSS Airport at around 11:00 am and was accorded a warm welcome by the Governor, Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, and the two Deputy Chief Ministers.

PM Modi then proceeded to Amalipali Ground for the public meeting. During his 90-minute visit, Modi flagged off the Amrit Bharat Express from Berhampur to Surat, inaugurated the Sambalpur City flyover, dedicated railway doubling projects in Koraput, and launched BSNL’s Swadeshi 4G stack. 

He also laid the foundation stone for a semiconductor and ESDM park in Bhubaneswar, inaugurated Wi-Fi facilities in 130 higher education institutions, announced the expansion of eight IITs, and unveiled master plans for VIMSAR and MKCG Medical College upgrades.

Additionally, the Prime Minister launched a National Skill Development Programme and handed over approval letters to 50,000 families under the Antyodaya Housing Scheme. Security has been tightened across Jharsuguda ahead of the high-profile event.
