Cuttack: Three people died after a car in which they were travelling in lost control and fall into a road side canal near Telengapentha on National Highway (NH) 16 on Saturday.
The deceased are yet to be identified.
According to sources, the mishap took place at around 3 am today when the Jaguar car was on its way to Cuttack from Bhubaneswar.
The speeding car lost its control and fall into a roadside canal. Being informed about the incident, the police rushed to the spot and rescued the three persons inside the car. They were immediately rushed to the SCB Medical College and Hospital where doctor declared them dead on arrival.
Further investigation into the matter is on.
