Cuttack: COVID-19 cases in the millennium city has been on a rapid surge owing to the increasing number of positive cases from Beherasahi near Malgodown.
The Malgodown area that has been declared as a containment zone by the Cuttack Municipal Corporation authorities, reported 112 positive cases in the last 24 hours.
As per the data shared by CMC, 62 cases are male while 50 females have tested positive in the containment zone.
Apart from these cases from the Malgodown cluster, the city also reported seven institutional quarantine cases, 12 home quarantine cases and 12 local contact cases in the past 24 hours taking the total COVID-19 tally of Cuttack city to 1325.
