Yesterday’s low pressure area over north coastal Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and neighbourhood now lies over Southeast Arabian Sea off Kerala coast and the associated cyclonic circulation extends up to mid tropospheric levels, said India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Sunday.
As per the IMD, a trough runs from the cyclonic circulation associated with Low Pressure Area over to Southwest Bay of Bengal in lower levels.

Heavy rainfall warning
Fairly widespread rainfall with heavy rainfall very likely at isolated places over Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Kerala, south Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Rayalaseema and Lakshadweep on November 13, 2022 and significant decrease in rainfall activity over the region thereafter.

November 13: Squally weather (wind speed 40-45 kmph gusting to 55 kmph) very likely to prevail over Lakshadweep area, Maldives-Comorin area, along and off Kerala coast and adjoining Southeast Arabian
November 14: Squally weather (wind speed 40-45 kmph gusting to 55 kmph) very likely to prevail over Lakshadweep area and adjoining Southeast Arabian Sea.
As per IMD, a fresh low pressure area is likely to form over Southeast Bay of Bengal and neighbourhood around November 16, 2022.
Widespread rainfall with heavy rainfall very likely at isolated places over Andaman & Nicobar Islands on November 15 and 16.
Squally weather (wind speed 40-45 kmph gusting to 55 kmph) likely to prevail over south Andaman Sea and adjoining Southeast Bay of Bengal on November 16 and over Southwest and adjoining Westcentral Bay of Bengal on November 17, 2022.
