Samsung, currently the largest Android manufacturer offering an Apple-like ecosystem, is set to deepen its integration with the new One UI 7 update set to bring a notable addition called Camera Continuity.

The Camera Continuity feature will allow users to take photos or scan documents with their Galaxy phone and access them directly on another linked device, such as a tablet or laptop, similar to what Apple offers on its devices like the iPhone, iPad, and Macbooks.

A report by Android Authority stated that the Camera Continuity feature in the latest One UI 7 is in the beta stage. Although not fully operational yet, it requires devices to be on the same Wi-Fi network, within Bluetooth range and logged into the same Samsung account.

Alongside Camera Continuity, the update is also likely to include another new feature called Camera Share, which will let users employ their Galaxy phone's camera as a webcam for their Galaxy Book laptop, enhancing video call quality.

The feature, expected to launch next year, will work with any app using a webcam or camera, provided the devices share the same Samsung account.

Meanwhile, other enhancements in One UI 7 include Storage Share, enabling wireless file exploration between a phone and a Galaxy laptop or tablet.

However, as of yet, there is no confirmation as to when One UI 7 will be released in India, although reports hint at February 2025, and the Galaxy S series is expected to receive them first.
