Samsung finally launched its highly anticipated foldable smartphones, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6, at the latest Galaxy Unpacked event on Wednesday.
Display of Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6
The Galaxy Z Fold 6 features a 6.3-inch HD+ outer display and a 7.6-inch QXGA+ inner display, both with Dynamic AMOLED 2X technology and adaptive refresh rates from 1Hz to 120Hz.
The Galaxy Z Flip 6 has a 3.4-inch Super AMOLED cover screen and a 6.7-inch Full-HD+ inner display, also with Dynamic AMOLED 2X and adaptive refresh rates.
Performance
Both smartphones are powered by the custom Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset for Galaxy, running Android 14 with Samsung's One UI 6.1.1.
Samsung has announced that its two new foldable smartphones now feature Galaxy AI capabilities, alongside Google's Circle to Search feature and the Gemini AI chatbot, all available for use.
Camera
The Galaxy Z Fold 6 boasts a triple rear camera setup: 50 MP wide, 12 MP ultra-wide, and 10 MP telephoto cameras. It also features a 10 MP front camera on the cover display and a 4 MP under-display camera.
The Galaxy Z Flip 6 features a 50 MP wide and 12 MP ultra-wide rear cameras, with a 10 MP front camera on the inner display.
Battery
The Galaxy Z Fold 6 includes a 4,400mAh battery with 25W wired charging, Fast Wireless Charging 2.0, and Wireless PowerShare.
The Galaxy Z Flip 6 packs a 4,000mAh battery with similar charging capabilities.
Price of Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6 in India
The Galaxy Z Fold 6 starts at approximately Rs. 1,64,999 for the base model (12GB RAM, 256GB storage), with higher storage variants costing around Rs. 1,76,999 and Rs. 200,999 respectively.
The Galaxy Z Flip 6 is priced at about Rs. 109,999 for the 12GB RAM + 256GB storage model, and roughly Rs. 121,999 for the 512GB storage variant.
Both phones will be available online starting July 24, according to Samsung.
Additionally, at the Galaxy Unpacked event, Samsung also launched the Galaxy Watch 7, Galaxy Buds 3 Series, and Galaxy Ring.
