Odisha Elections 2024: Ghasipura Assembly candidate’s supporter attacked in Keonjhar in pre-poll violence

A supporter of independent candidate Soumya Ranjan Patnaik was allegedly attacked by BJD workers at Ghasipura Assembly constituency in Keonjhar.

With barely one day left for the third phase of election in Odisha, one more pre-poll violence incident has been reported in the State. A supporter of independent candidate Soumya Ranjan Patnaik was allegedly attacked by BJD workers at Ghasipura Assembly constituency in Keonjhar on Wednesday night.

The victim has been identified as Basanta Chakra who is a resident of Pandua village. Basant has sustained injuries in the attack. He has been admitted to Saintala Community Health Centre in a critical condition.
