The Biju Janata Dal (BJD) has been announcing its candidates in a phased manner. So far, the ruling party has announced five lists.
Interestingly, given the number of candidates announced each time, an emerging pattern has caught the attention of many observers. Many believe that the number 9 seems key to the party which seems to be banking on numerology this time.
Many wonder if the party is taking the help of numerology for electoral success.
The party on Wednesday announced its fifth list in which candidates were announced for nine Assembly constituencies.
Remember the first list of candidates. The ruling party announced the names of 72 candidates for Assembly seats. If you make an addition of the two-digit number 7 and 2, it becomes 9. It also named nine candidates for Lok Sabha seats in the first list.
In the second list, the party announced the names of 27 candidates for Assembly seats. The addition of 2 and 7 is 9.
The same pattern was observed in the third and the fourth lists. The ruling party had announced the names of 9 candidates in each turn.
If the number of candidates announced in four phases is put together, it totalled to 117. If 1, 1 and 7 are added, the result is 9.
The total number of candidates announced for Assembly seats is 126 so far. If 1, 2 and 6 are added, the result is 9.
