While the ruling BJD has recently been in the crosshairs of the BJP leaders over several issues including ‘Odia Asmita’, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma was the latest to train his gun at Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik.

If a Chief Minister of a state can’t hold mic himself and can speak only when someone holds it for him, he can’t transform India into a ‘Vishwa Guru’, said Sarma while targeting his Odisha counterpart Naveen Patnaik, albeit without naming him.

The Assam Chief Minister was attending the Prabuddh Nagarik Sammelan in Bhubaneswar when he made the statement. 

While addressing the gathering, Sarma said “Why only one person is getting the opportunity to hold the Chief Minister’s mic? Why no other BJD leader or any Odia? Don’t Odia people have this much talent,” he wished to know.

“This is why there will be a change in the government and there will be double engine government here,” he asserted. 
No reactions were received from the BJD.
