In a landmark initiative, Odisha Television Limited (OTV) has launched 'OTV Fee Din', a full-fledged news platform in 'Sambalpur Kosali' language on the auspicious occasion of Nuakhai on Thursday.

The OTV Feedin was launched by Odisha Television Network Co-Founder & MD Jagi Mangat Panda in presence of OTV Business Head Litisha Mangat Panda and OTV Executive Editor Radhamadhab Mishra among others.

Speaking on the occasion, Jagi Mangat Panda said, “Nuakhai Juhar. Today is a very auspicious day. I congratulate my OTV team on the launch of this channel and hope viewers will embrace it with love.”

“We have been planning to go hyper-local, and this initiative is a step in that direction. We are starting with western Odisha and are hopeful of launching similar initiatives in other regions as well,” said Litisha Mangat Panda.

OTV Executive Editor Radhamadhab Mishra said, “It is a proud moment for us to launch OTV Fee Din on the auspicious occasion of Nuakhai. While we have been covering news from western Odisha in our bulletins, this dedicated platform will further strengthen and expand that coverage.”

With this launch, viewers will now be able to access round-the-clock news in Sambalpur Kosali at the click of a button on OTV platforms.

It was on December 27, 2009, that OTV first introduced Fee Din, the state’s first-ever news bulletin in Sambalpuri language, which was broadcast daily at 5:30 PM. Until now, viewers had to wait for the evening bulletin to watch news in their mother tongue. But with this new launch, the content will be available 24x7 without interruption.
