In a shocking incident, a woman was allegedly raped at knifepoint in Odisha's Dhenkanal. The accused tied both her limbs and outraged her modesty after holding her at knife-point. The matter came to the fore after the rape survivor lodged a written complaint with the local police.
According to the reports, the victim, who resides alone in a rented property under the Sadar Police Station's jurisdiction, stated that the assailant, Hrushikesh Sahu, entered her residence when she was alone. He then threatened her with a knife, tied her up, and committed the heinous act.

Following her complaint, the police detained Hrushikesh Sahu, who hails from Deogarh. Initial investigations suggest that Sahu, employed at a mill, had prior knowledge of the woman's living situation.
