Odisha Shocker! Man 'drowns infant son to death, slits 10-Year-old daughter’s throat

A family dispute turned tragic as a man allegedly killed his 14-month-old son and slit the throat of his 10-year-old daughter at Kotiapada village under Boden Police limits of Nuapada district on Tuesday. 

As per reports, Kishore Majhi with his wife and three children was living in Kotiapada village. Kishore and his wife would often quarrel over dowry.  Today, they allegedly had a verbal duel and, in a fit of rage, Kishore beat up his wife following which she went to his parents’ house. 

Thereafter, Kishore took his three children and went towards the nearby forest. Sensing danger, his middle child, a daughter, managed to escape.

Later he allegedly administered sedative pills to his son and drowned him in a pond. He then attempted to kill his daughter by slitting her throat with a sharp weapon. 

After committing the heinous crime, he fled from the village after putting his son’s dead body in front of his house. The villagers rescued the seriously injured girl and rushed her to Boden government hospital.

Later, the villagers nabbed him from the jungle and handed him over to the police.
