The Odisha Public Service Commission (OPSC) declared the results of Odisha Judicial (OJS) Examination 2023 on Thursday and Somesh Ranabijuli topped the examination.
According to OPSC notification, a total of 33 candidates, including 24 women, qualified the exam for recruitment of civil judge (senior division) against 34 vacant posts.
The Success Mantra
Expressing happiness over his success, Ranabijuli said, “I was hopeful that I would qualify the examination but did not expect to secure the top spot. I want to dedicate this success to God, my father, mother, and family who supported me a lot.”
Sharing his journey, he said, “As I was an in-service candidate, it was tough for me. I am presently working as an Additional Tehsildar at Khandapada. Despite much work pressure, I did not avail a leave and focused on my studies for the OJS 2023.”
“I want to work on application of laws, access to justice and delivery of justice in the judiciary.

About OJS Examination
Notably, the OJS is a competitive examination conducted by the OPSC to recruit civil judges for the state judiciary. It aims to select qualified law graduates for judicial positions in district and subordinate courts. The selection process includes a preliminary exam, a mains exam, and a viva voce (interview). OJS plays a crucial role in strengthening the judicial system of Odisha by ensuring a fair and transparent selection of competent legal professionals to uphold justice in the state.
