In his address, he remembered the case involving 'Spider Satish', who was implicated in a high-profile theft at the residence of former minister and senior Congress leader Niranjan Patnaik.
The history-sheeter thief went to great lengths to avoid capture, even hiding underground, yet the determined police force succeeded in bringing him to justice. This story served to highlight the pressing need for advanced police techniques and continuous vigilance in law enforcement.
Chief Minister Majhi commented on the successful apprehension of the elusive thief known as 'Spider Satish'. Speaking about the police operation, he recounted his directive to ensure the capture of the criminal, who was involved in numerous high-profile thefts, including one at the residence of former Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) chief Niranjan Patnaik.
What led to the accused man's arrest?
The CM stated, “Even if he was hiding underground, I had given clear instructions to capture him.” The police operation heavily relied on advanced technology to trace the movements of 'Spider Satish', notorious for targeting buildings on the upper floors.

“He ('Spider Satish') was entering the targeted houses by jumping from wall to wall like Hollywood films. I am immensely happy that Odisha Police could nab the culprit by the virtue of its wit, probe, and application of advanced technology,” the CM said.
