Narcotics smuggling: Bengaluru police pick up five persons from Odisha's Jeypore

A team of police from Bengaluru in Karnataka picked up five persons from Jeypore in Koraput district of Odisha on Wednesday. The five persons were reportedly arrested in connection with a ganja case. 

The development was confirmed by Jeypore SDPO Harish Bisi. As per sources, a case related to narcotics smuggling in the Siddhipur area was registered in Bangalore. The Bengaluru police were investigating a case and arrested some persons.

During the interrogation of the accused, police got clues that five persons in Jeypore town were connected with the case. 
On the basis of the clues, the Bangalore police have picked up five people, sources added.
