Mystery shrouds the death of a class 9 student whose body was found hanging in a hostel of a private school at Padampur area in Bargarh district on Tuesday night. The deceased student has been identified as Prince Kumbhar.
The body of Prince was found hanging from a rod inside the hostel. Hostel authorities informed that Prince had gone to his room after carrying the dinner with him on Tuesday night. Later, Prince’s body was found hanging in a toilet. Following the incident, the hostel staff rescued and rushed the student to the hospital where he was declared dead on arrival by the doctor.
Hostel Superintendent Parshuram Dharua said, “After coming to know about the incident, we rushed the student to the hostel. We do not know why the incident occurred.”

Dr Kailash Meher of Padmapur hospital said, “It appears to be a case of suicidal hanging. The boy was declared dead on arrival.”
The deceased student’s uncle said, “My sister called me and asked to come to the hostel. When I reached, I found him dead. Prince could not end his life, someone must have killed him.”
According to the family members, parents of Prince had met him at the hostel some days back. On Tuesday also, they had talked with him over phone and they did not suspect anything wrong. Similarly, Prince had also not shared anything about something troubling him.
