In preparation for the grand and disciplined conduct of this year’s Rath Yatra in Puri, a significant coordination meeting was held at the Shree Jagannath Temple Office in Puri on Saturday.
The meeting was chaired by Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA) Chief Administrator Arabinda Padhee and saw active participation from the Daitapati Nijog along with senior officials.
Decisions to ensure discipline and devotion
Following the meeting, Padhee emphasized that the chariot pulling will proceed according to the official schedule. He firmly stated that no servitor will be allowed to use mobile phones during the chariot pulling and no non-servitors will be permitted to climb atop the chariots during the pulling. Legal action will be initiated against violators to uphold the sanctity and order of the event.
Commitment from Daitapati Nijog
Representatives of the Daitapati Nijog expressed full cooperation with the temple administration and the district authorities to ensure smooth and disciplined execution of this year's Rath Yatra. They assured their active role in maintaining discipline among servitors and volunteers.
Focus on devotee experience and security
Special emphasis was laid on arrangements for devotees, including security, comfort, and crowd management.
The meeting was also attended by the District Collector, the President and Secretary of the Daitapati Nijog, and the four key Badagrahis (senior servitors), alongside other senior temple officials. The collective aim is to ensure a spiritually uplifting for the devotees and well-organized Rath Yatra for all.

They can't stay atop the chariots in other time. No non-servitors will be permitted to climb atop the chariots during the pulling," said SJTA Chief Administrator Arabinda Padhee.
