The incident transpired as the crew navigated through the region, which houses an airstrip of historical importance from the Second World War, situated about five kilometres away from the landing point.
“The emergency landing was necessitated by a technical fault, with the helicopter managing to resume its journey after a delay of approximately 15 to 20 minutes,” the SP stated.
Adept handling of the situation assured that the helicopter could take off without further complications, the SP further said.
