Increased security measures have been implemented in critical areas such as Chandipur and Puri, in light of potential threats originating from the Bay of Bengal. "We are alert," declared the CM. The government is actively working to ensure the safe return of Odia people who are currently out of the State, the CM assured.
In a bid to assist those affected, a 24-hour help desk has been established at the Office of the Resident Commissioner in New Delhi. Efforts are also being made to relocate Odia students studying in Jammu to safer areas in Delhi.
Security measures beefed up
The Chief Minister reiterated that vigilant monitoring of the situation is underway.
“There is nothing to panic,” the CM said while speaking to mediapersons.
“Vital installations in the State at Chandipur (Integrated Test Range-ITR) and Puri (Jagannath Temple) are under strict vigil. Security measures have been beefed up and through searches are underway at several other significant locations,” the CM stated.
“We have shielded the crucial installations and monuments,” the CM expressed.
