Gun manufacturing unit busted in Cuttack; over 30 guns seized, 4 arrested
The Special Task Force (STF) of Odisha Crime Branch busted an illegal gun manufacturing unit at Bayalis Mouza area in Cuttack on Thursday.
According to sources, the team seized more than 30 pistols from the post and arrested four persons in connection with the case.
A joint team of Crime Branch STF and Bayalis Mouza police raided the unit on the wee hours of Thursday and seized items used in the manufacturing of guns.
How The Factory Was Operating
The factory was discreetly located near a cattle shed at the edge of a village, just two kilometers from the local police station. It was being run inside a makeshift hut, where authorities discovered gun-making machines, tools, and raw materials.
Serious Questions Raised

Meanwhile, serious questions are being raised now from where the raw materials and machinery were sourced from? Who were the buyers of these illegal weapons? How far did the supply chain extend?
