Eagle spotted flying with a piece of 'flag' near Puri Srimandir
In an unexpected turn of events near the revered Srimandir in Puri, an eagle on Saturday seemingly carried away a piece of cloth thought to resemble the temple's sacred flag.
The video of the incident has reportedly gone viral over various social media platforms.
This incident, which reportedly occurred early yesterday evening, has sparked curiosity both locally and on social media platforms.
Baffling Scene
Observers noted that the bird, which appeared to be an eagle, picked up a cloth similar to the temple's flag. It then flew towards the ocean, disappearing from view, leading to widespread speculation about the cloth's origins.
The incident reportedly happened in Puri around 5 pm when Nor'wester triggered a storm. According to some local residents, the eagle first went to the west door of the temple and then flew towards the ocean before disappearing from the scene. Subsequently, the storm subsided.

Despite its striking resemblance, it is still unconfirmed whether the cloth belonged to the temple or was an entirely separate piece. As of now, the temple administration has not released any formal statement regarding the matter.
The incident reportedly coincided with the usual ritual conducted by the 'Chunara' servitors of Srimandir to hoist the flag atop the temple, adding to the mystery surrounding the event.
