The Students Against Corruption (SAC) body on Monday lodged strong protests alleging various issues including the alleged lack of coordination between various bodies of the Odisha government.
To highlight the matter, the SAC, in an interaction with the media, noted that various recruitment boards of the state including the Odisha Public Service Commission (OPSC) have scheduled simultaneous exams on the same dates, sparking panic and concerns among aspirants.
Overlapping Dates for Government Exams in March:
Incidentally, on March 8, two crucial public exams including the SBI PO Prelims and Police SI prelims are scheduled to be held whereas on March 9, OPSC Assistant Agriculture Officer (AAO) and Railway Recruitment Board’s RPF Constable Test are set to take place.
The overlapping dates present a serious conundrum for candidates who will be forced to choose one exam over the other. Further, the SAC noted that the highly competitive nature of these exams involves rigorous training and preparations for years, all of which may go to waste simply because of internal discrepancies by the state recruitment bodies.

Corruption Allegations Levied:
In the same interaction, the SAC also levied allegations of corruption and demanded a CBI probe into recent exams conducted by the OPSC, OSSC, and OSSSC.
However, so far, there has been no official response from the state government or the exam-conducting bodies over these allegations.
