The National Vice-President of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Kendrapara MP Baijayant Panda visited the residence of Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan. The MP, accompanied by his wife Jagi Mangat Panda and daughter Litisha Mangat Panda, offered floral tribute to late Debendra Pradhan on Saturday, seeking peace for his soul.

Speaking on the occasion, Baijayant Panda shared the memories of his association with Debendra Pradhan. He expressed warm recollections and highlighted Debendra Pradhan's impactful personality. “Such impressive and affectionate was his personality that he will always be remembered,” Baijayant Panda remarked during the visit.
Debendra Pradhan was very soft-hearted man
“He was a very soft-hearted man and his behaviour had impacted several persons. I too have similar memories. He had contributed a lot for Odisha, Bharatiya Janata Party, and the country as well. Everyone was respecting him and loving him,” the MP stated.
Worth mentioning, the former Union Minister from Odisha, Debendra Pradhan breathed his last at the age of 83 on March 17. A veteran leader and a stalwart of the BJP, Pradhan served as a Minister in the Atal Bihari Vajpayee-led government from 1998 to 2004. He is the father of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.
Debendra Pradhan had been undergoing treatment at All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Delhi, where he was previously admitted after he suffered chest pain.

Late Dr. Pradhan had carved a niche for himself in politics, earning reputation as a dynamic and influential leader. Before stepping into politics, he was a doctor by profession, a fact that shaped his deep understanding of public welfare and governance.
