Union Home Minister Amit Shah will commence a three-day visit to Odisha on March 21, with plans to lay the foundation stones for several governmental projects. Prior to his visit, a pivotal meeting of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) was convened on Sunday at MCL Guest House in Burla of Sambalpur district, to strategise for the coming days.

Upon his arrival in Jharsuguda in the evening on March 21, Amit Shah is scheduled to stay at the MCL Guest House. On March 22, the Union Minister will visit Maa Samaleswari Temple in Sambalpur before addressing a public gathering at the PHD Ground in Jharsuguda.
Detailed itinerary of Shah's 3-day visit
These details were shared by BJP's state unit president Manmohan Samal following the party’s key meeting held in Burla town. The meeting witnessed the participation of Odisha BJP chief Samal, Minister Mukesh Mahaling, Sambalpur MLA Jayanarayan Mishra, along with several other legislators and senior party leaders from Western Odisha districts.
“It was decided on principle as per the tentative programmed that he (Amit Shah) will arrive in Jharsuguda on March 21 and proceed to MCL Guest House, where he will stay at night. On the morning of March 22, he (the Union Minister) will move to Sambalpur and have Darshan of Maa Samaleswari. After returning from there, he will hold a public meeting for nearly an hour at around 10.30 AM,” the Odisha BJP chief informed media.
Foundation stones for the key projects to be laid
“He (the Union Minister) is to lay the foundation stone for some key projects in Jharsuguda. He will have his launch at around 2.00 PM at MCL Guest House. Thereafter, he will proceed to Puri via Bhubaneswar. He will stay at night in Puri town. The next morning, he will have Darshan of Lord Jagannath. He is then scheduled to lay the foundation stone for proposed forensic university in Jatni,” the Odisha BJP chief Samal briefed.

“He will lay the foundation stones and also inaugurate some key projects. On the afternoon of March 23, he will return to Delhi,” Manmohan Samal further said.
