Nayagarh: At least seven medical students suffered injuries after the bus they were travelling in met with an accident near Durga Prasad village under Banigochha police limits in Nayagarh district.
The mishap occurred late last night. All the injured have been admitted to Daspalla hospital.
According to sources, all the students belonging to SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack were on their way to Bolangir for Covid duty. The driver of the Odisha State Road Transport Corporation (OSRTC) bus reportedly lost control over the wheel and hit a roadside tree near Durga Prasad village.

While the medicos suffered minor injuries, the driver of the bus sustained critically injuries in the mishap. He was immediately rushed to Daspalla hospital.
Till the last report came in, all unhurt medicos were sent to Bolangir in another bus.
