Continuing its drive against corrupt and inept State officials, the Odisha government on Tuesday ordered compulsory retirement of four officers including two Odisha Administrative Service (OAS) officers, one Sub-Registrar and a former Chief Veterinary Officer.
The terminated OAS officers have been identified as Deputy Collector of Angul Janakinath Mishra and Nuagarh Tehsildar Akula Mallick.
Similarly, Sub-Registar of Dhenkanal district Lalatendu Satpathy and Nuapada district’s Chief Veterinary Officer Trilochan Dhal have also been handed over compoulsory retirements.

The State has so far taken action against 122 officials over graft charges and inefficiency.
Earlier on January 29 this year, the State government had ordered compulsory retirement of nine officers on similar charges.
While seven officials were terminated for corruption cases, remaining two were dismissed from service for their inefficiency in discharging duties. The officials were from the mines, forest, health and labour departments.
Two officials from the mines department, one forest official and one assistant engineer were prematurely given retirement. As many as five officials were given compulsory retirement a few days ago.
