The Odisha Public Service Commission (OPSC) had conducted the Assistant Section Officer (ASO) examination on August 27 to fill up as many as 796 (265 women) Group-B posts in the Odisha Secretariat Service.
While the commission has not made any official announcement yet regarding the declaration of the result, aspirants who appeared in the recruitment examination are eagerly waiting for the result.
The annual recruitment calendar of OPSC for 2022-23 says the skill test for the qualified candidates will be conducted and result will be published in the month of November.
Meanwhile, some aspirants have urged the OPSC to implement sectional qualifying marks in each subject while preparing merit list of the recruitment examination.
The sectional cutoff is the minimum score that candidates must obtain in respective sections of the paper whereas the overall cutoff is the minimum aggregate marks that candidates have to score in the exam.
“@satyajitips88 Resepcted Chairman Sir, as Opsc ASO question paper was imbalanced with some papers being very easy and some very difficult, it's request to put sectional qualifying marks like OCS. It would be beneficial for those who focused on each paper, rather than one or two,” wrote an ASO aspirant.
“Sir, please implement minimum qualifying mark for each subject in ASO 2022 (like OPSC, SSC and CSE) so that the candidate with good mark in each paper be able to qualify,” urged another user.
“Plz implement sectional cutoff in each paper of ASO 2022 so that deserving candidates who scores good in all paper will be selected rather than who scores only in one or two paper,” wrote a third user.
