A chilled mug of beer on a sunny afternoon can make any booze lover go weak on their knees. In fact, beers, more precisely craft beers have their own set of fan following in India and the number is only increasing.
Apart from moderate alcohol content, like any other aerated drink, beer has a lot of carbon dioxide (CO2). The CO2, when released from the bottle makes for a spectacular froth in the mug giving the drink a distinct visual appeal. Without the collar of foam, it is not really a beer.

However, some people have a habit of minimising the froth in the mug by pouring it slow and low. But is it right, or more precisely, is it healthy? Well, apparently not.
A video by Tech Insider elaborates the point.
As per the video, beer foam can be bad for your belly. As people generally have the habit of munching chips or nachos with the beer, after entering the stomach, the salty snacks can make the beer froth and break the CO2 inside the stomach. The CO2 can result in bloating your belly.
However, if you pour it like you pour water, the froth will come up breaking the CO2 in the glass or mug itself. The beer will less agitate your stomach after you drink it with the froth. In the foam, you can taste the sweetness of the malt and the bitterness of the hops. But it is going to protect the integrity of that aroma that is underneath the foam through each sip, reported the Tech Insider.
Now you know, why you feel bloated every time you have a beer. Go ahead and pour it onto the glass/mug or pitcher vigorously and don't be afraid to create some foam. Because it is really worth it.
