Trisha Krishnan, Dulquer Salman, Jayam Ravi have joined Kamal Haasan for the upcoming project of Mani Ratnam. Interestingly, Kamal and Mani are reuniting for a project after a gap of 36 years.
The two are the biggest names from the Southern film world and hence the product of their reunion is going to be a sure-shot blockbuster. These famous actors will be seen in the Roja director’s movie Ulaganayagan.
A related announcement was shared by leading makeup artist Ranjith Ambady who is happy to be a part of this Mani Ratnam movie.
While Mani has given multiple big hits in his career including his recent releases PS1 and PS2, it will be the 234th movie for veteran Kamal Haasan who is an institution and inspiration for all the new and budding actors.
Both Trisha and Jayam Ravi have worked with Mani Ratnam in the Ponniyin Selvan movies while Dulquer Salman has worked with Mani Ratnam for OK Kanmani.
Trisha is expected to play the leading lady in this film while Jayam and Dulquer also have pivotal roles in Ulaganayagan. She has already worked with Kamal Haasan multiple times and their chemistry was loved by the audience earlier.
AR Rehman will be composing music for this new Mani Ratnam project.
The last movie from the Bombay director was an ambitious venture Ponniyin Selvan that was released in two parts and had a stellar star cast including Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Vikram, Karthii, Trisha Krishnan, and more, and was a big success in the South.
However, it could not make a big impact in the Hindi belt as the story was quite well known in the South but could not influence the Bollywood audience.
