Stand-up comedian and content creator Samay Raina, who hails from Jammu, has come forward with a heartfelt message urging people to stay calm and place their trust in the Indian Armed Forces, as tensions escalate between India and Pakistan.

Message of Support on Instagram
On Thursday night, Raina took to his Instagram stories to express solidarity with the people of Jammu and commend the Indian Army’s vigilance.
“My prayers are with everyone in Jammu. Sleep peacefully and believe in the Indian Army. Jai Hind,” he wrote.
Background: Escalation at the Border
Raina’s message came in the wake of aerial attacks launched by Pakistan, targeting multiple locations in Jammu, including the civil airport, Samba, RS Pura, Arnia, and several military stations.
These attacks occurred just a day after India conducted precision strikes on terror hideouts in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) under Operation Sindoor.
Thanks to the swift response by India’s S-400 air defence system, all incoming threats were successfully intercepted, preventing further damage and loss.
Personal Reflection and a Father’s Calm
In another emotional Instagram story, Samay Raina shared a personal anecdote, revealing he had spoken to his father, who is currently residing in Jammu.
“My father calls me one last time tonight from Jammu to say goodnight. His voice, steady and calm, urges me to sleep and not worry—the Indian armed forces have everything under control,” Raina wrote.
He went on to describe his emotions after the call, reflecting on the resilience of soldiers and their families:
“His calmness quiets my restless thoughts. I switch off the lights in my Mumbai home and walk to the window to draw the curtains. Outside, my neighbour’s lights still glow. I know little about him. I wonder if he too has family in Jammu, perhaps Pathankot—or if he might be the son of a brave soldier, waiting for a morning call from his father on the front lines.”

Raina concluded his message with a note of deep gratitude:
