Salman Khan has made many roles unforgettable with his style and swag. Be it Chulbul Pandey from Dabangg or Radhe from Wanted, or even Tiger from the Tiger franchise, the Bollywood superstar has a list of iconic performances. And one such movie that elevated his stardom further was Sultan.
It was his first movie with YRF and was very important for him. The role required Salman Khan to look fat and bulky with a stomach pouch in the first part whereas, in the second part, he had to get a bulkier yet toned body like a wrestler. Since Salman was playing the role of a wrestler throughout the movie, his body was on display for most of the movie.
Usually, it takes a couple of months for an actor to transform from one body type to another. But the Bajrangi Bhaijan actor had only 15 days to show this difference. Recalling how tough it was to show the before and after body of Sultan, the superstar in an interview said, “For Sultan, I was big, like really muscular big. Like Aamir did the other way around, he was fat and big. I was throughout Sultan even the bits when I was out of shape and I was totally in shape. Because everything was in 15 days. 15 days mein flashback mein jane ka. Shooting karo phir flashback mein jao.”

He further said, “Phir 15 din shooting karo aur wapas se flashback mein jao. Phir introduction mein chale jao, climaxes mein chale jao. Since Ali (referring to director Abbas Ali Zafar) has not gone to the gym in his entire life Ali does not know ki it takes a good three and a half months, four months to lean down and to bulk up.”
Revealing how he managed to look unhealthy with a stomach pouch in the flashback, Salman Khan said, “So that time when I was in same shape of the MMA fighting thing. So he wasn’t like a big stomach and all that stuff. I just wanted him (Sultan) to be out of shape. So in that, I phugaoed my stomach. So when you see that even that shot even the four-pack is there because these wrestlers even when they give up are very hard. After all, so much training has gone into them. Even if they have a stomach it is a kadak stomach and not thal thal stomach.”
