Nitesh Tiwari's Ramayana is the much-awaited cinematic adaptation of the Indian epic. Moviegoers eagerly await to see Ranbir Kapoor and Sai Pallavi's performance as Lord Ram and Devi Sita in the magnum opus. Moreover, inclusion of Sunny Deol and Yash in the movie has already elevated the excitement. Now, the recent buzz in the industry states that the new entrant in the movie is legendary actor Amitabh Bachchan. Moreover, the buzz also suggests that RK will be playing a double role in the movie.
Amitabh Bachchan in Ramayana?
Earlier, speculations were rife that Amitabh Bachchan might play the role of King Dasaratha. Even, fans envisioned him as the perfect actor to portray the role. However, actor Arun Govil was locked in for the character and probably has wrapped up his shoot.
However, as per a latest report by Peeping Moon, Bachchan is the new entrant. But, he won't appear physically in the movie. The iconic actor will lend his voice for Jatayu, the divine bird.

Notably, the divine bird Jatayu plays a special role in Ramayana as he confronts Demon King Ravana in an attempt to rescue Goddess Sita while being abducted. Jatayu lost his wings during the confrontation with the Demon King flying on Pushpaka Vimana.
Ranbir Kapoor to Play a Double Role!
An exclusive report by Peeping Moon states that Ranbir Kapoor will be seen in a double role in Ramayana. Notably, it's not the first time that RK will be seen in a double role. Earlier, he played double roles in Shamshera and Animal. However, in both movies, RK didn't appear onscreen in both his characters at the same time. However, in Ramayana, RK will appear onscreen in both his characters, together.
Everyone is well aware that RK is essaying the role of Lord Ram. As per the buzz, the Saawariya actor will also play the role of Lord Parashurama, as both Lord Parashurama and Ram are incarnation of Lord Vishnu.

In the Ramayana, Lord Parashurama and Lord Ram face off at Janaki or Devi Sita's Swayamvar. They faceoff after Lord Ram lifts Lord Shiva's divine bow Pinaka and breaks it. However, after that Lord Parashurama realises that Lord Ram is the incarnation of Lord Vishnu. Though, as Parashurama, RK will have a brief appearance, it has a significant importance. Moreover, RK's appearance will be unrecognisable, informed a source.
