Rhea Chakraborty turns a year older today. The actress is back to work with Roadies on MTV television despite getting all sorts of bashing and criticism. Even her co-actors like Prince Narula and Gautam Gulati were not happy with her inclusion on the show and openly showed their disapproval about Rhea joining Roadies.
While she may not be contributing qualitatively, being a controversial figure, people are bound to watch the show to know more about her. Interestingly, for Rhea Chakraborty, it was a sort of homecoming as she debuted in the entertainment world through MTV as a VJ before venturing into movies.
Rather, it can be easily said that MTV was her launching pad because she was the runner-up in 2009 on the channel’s show TVS Scooty Teen Diva and later on went on to be a part of multiple shows on the same channel. She debuted in movies with a Telugu film Tuneega Tuneega in 2012.
A year later she debuted in Bollywood with Mere Dad Ki Dulhan. In a span of more than a decade, the actress has worked in multiple movies in supporting roles and also as the lead actress. However, none of these movies gave her much recognition. Actually, it is only because of Sushant Singh Rajput that Rhea became such a well-known face.
The shocking and controversial death of SSR and Rhea being his girlfriend got all the attention albeit in a negative way. From media hounding her at every step to leading investigating agencies like NCB, CBI, and ED grilling her for hours, her entire life became the fodder for sensational debates on television and headlines in newspapers.
That is why even today she is followed by paparazzi and her whereabouts are traced and updated because fans of Sushant Singh Rajput are still irked with her alleged involvement in SSR’s death and are in no mood to forgive her.
