At a time when actor-turned-politician Anubhav Mohanty ran a marital discord with wife Barsha Priyadarshini, a video showing the former as a groom has gone on social media.
The pictures and some video-clips of Anubhav Mohanty have triggered a debate whether the actor has got married or these are some stills and video from his upcoming movie. The entire scene in the viral video resembles a marriage function with Anubhav and a lady dressed as groom and bride, respectively.
There is a lot of crowd seen in attendance during the function. As per initial reports, a shooting of Anubhav’s movie was held at a mandap in Baripada on Thursday.
The actor had reached the venue in the evening yesterday even though shooting involving other co-actors, including some from Delhi, were held during the first half of the day.
Cine critic Dilip Hali, on the other hand, termed the entire incident of video of the film going viral on social media as a deliberate attempt by Anubhav to woo the fans and change the negative narrative surrounding him ahead of the release of the movie.
“Anubhav has stayed away from films since long and he is entangled in a legal battle with his wife Barsha. It seems that it is an attempt to attract more audiences to the cinema halls,” said Hali.
According to Hali, as actor Babushaan has received huge response for his recent movie ‘Daman’. The release of video and pictures of Anubhav dressed a groom have been deliberately released on social media.
It is pertinent to mention here that there were restrictions on shooting of visuals and taking selfie during the shooting of the film yesterday. It appears that someone from the crew might have deliberately shot the particular marriage scene and made viral on social media.
“Many makers try to gain benefit from negative publicity. It appears that Anubhav Mohanty, who has been out of the industry for long, has tried to do some publicity. Earlier during Odia film shooting, there were restrictions on capturing videos. Now with extensive proliferation of mobile phones, it is easy to capture videos. Nobody had tried such stunts in the past in Odisha,” Hali added.
