Ayan Mukerji’s ‘Brahmastra: Part One-Shiva ’, starring Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt, has emerged as a box office monster after beating Kashmir Files. The film has been dominating the box office ever since its release.
It has become the highest grosser of 2022. Now, fans cannot contain their excitement for the second instalment of the trilogy.
While the makers have teased its sequel titled ‘Brahmasta: Part Two- Dev ’, fans are busy in the guessing game. As per Ayan Mukerji, Dev will be the fulcrum of the entire Brahmastra trilogy.
The director said that the sequel will switch between the past and the present and showcase how Dev impacts the universe. Along with Dev’s story, the sequel will unfold about the problems faced by the community and the world because of Brahmastra.
While, Ayan targets to release the movie by 2025, there are several theories circulating on social media as to who Dev is? Earlier, there were reports that Dev is Shiva’s father and will be played by Ranbir Kapoor himself.
However, many fans speculated that Ranveer Singh has been roped in to play Dev as Deepika Padukone was seen as Ranbir’s mother in the movie.
Meanwhile, film journalist and film enthusiast Amit Karn has tweeted that Dev is actually superstar Shah Rukh Khan , who played the role of scientist Mohan Bhargava in the first part. The announcement has sent Twitter into tizzy as fans began speculating further.
A fan commented, “If SRK is dev, then it will be more suspense than why Kataapa killed Baahubali.”
Another fan commented, “Going by visuals and looks, I genuinely felt that it was SRK. But now when Ayan has confirmed that SRK is the Iron Man of Astraverse, maybe he is giving us some hints!”
However, other fans said that Ranbir Kapoor will play the role of Dev. While Shah Rukh Khan fans want to see him play the part of Dev, others are eager to see Ranveer and Deepika as Dev and Amrita in Brahmastra 2.
On the other hand, SRK impressed audience with his cameo appearance. Many expressed disappointment as his character was extremely limited. Fans wanted to see more of SRK as Vanarastra. Crazy fans have even started an online petition urging the makers to bring SRK in the sequel with more emphasised character.
