Dilip Joshi dismisses rift rumours with Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah producer amid fight controve
Popular sitcom Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah (TMKOC) finds itself in the spotlight again, but this time due to rumours of a spat between lead actor Dilip Joshi and producer Asit Kumar Modi.
Dilip Joshi, known for playing the beloved character Jethalal, has firmly denied reports of a heated argument with Modi.
Addressing the rumours, Joshi expressed disappointment over the baseless claims. “It saddens me to see such things being said,” he stated as quoted by Times Now News.
“The stories circulating about me and Asit Bhai that are completely false. TMKOC is a show that means so much to me and millions of fans. Spreading baseless rumours not only hurts us but also our loyal viewers,” added Joshi.

He also recalled past rumours about his departure from the show, which he clarified were untrue.
The actor emphasized the team’s commitment to continuing the legacy of the long-running show and urged the media to fact-check before publishing such stories. He thanked fans for their unwavering support and encouraged everyone to focus on the joy the show brings.
Earlier, News18 quoted a source about an alleged argument between Joshi and Modi over leaves, claiming the disagreement turned heated. The report further claimed that the incident took place in August.
Notably, TMKOC has faced controversies before. Former cast members, including Shailesh Lodha, Jennifer Mistry, and Palak Sindhwani , have accused Modi of harassment, abuse, and non-payment of dues. Mistry even levelled allegations of sexual harassment against Modi.
Despite these challenges, TMKOC, airing since July 2008 on Sab TV, continues entertaining its audience. Produced by Neela Asit Modi and Asit Kumar Modi, the show is based on Tarak Mehta’s ‘Duniya Ne Oondha Chashma.’
