Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah completed 13 years yesterday. To celebrate the occasion, the producer of the comedy sitcom Asit Kumarr Modi shared some heartfelt feelings, made some interesting revelations, and introduced his staff who works behind the scenes after the end of yesterday’s episode.
First, the boss of Neela Tele Films thanked the audience for their love and prayed to the Lord Almighty for showering so much love and success on the show and its star cast. Sharing his thoughts on Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, Asit Kumarr said that he is aware that the fans are very eager to know when the character of Dayaben will return. Also, he said that he knows that fans want to know when Popatlal will finally get married.
Asit Kumarr said that slowly these things will happen indirectly hinting that there is a chance of Dayaben’s return and also did not rule out the marriage of Popatlal. Asit Kumarr also talked about those who left the show but added that irrespective of those left behind for whatever reasons, the show must go on and that his team will continue to make changes wherever needed to ensure that they keep entertaining the audience as always.

Now, does this mean that they may try to introduce a new Dayaben in place of Disha Vakani? If that happens, diehard fans of Disha may get disappointed. However, there is also a section of Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah fans who now wants the character of Daya to return irrespective of whether it is Disha Vakani or another actress doing it.
Earlier, too many characters were replaced including Tappu, Sodhi, Anjali Mehta, Dr. Hathi, and others. But Daya’s character is a very prominent one and Disha’s superb portrayal of Dayaben is unforgettable.
So, even if Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’s team decides to replace Disha, they will have a tough time choosing an actress to match the level of Disha Vakani.
