CHSE Plus 2 Results 2021
Demonstrating utter discontent over the Plus 2 board results for the year 2021, many ex-regular students gheraoed the Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE) office in Bhubaneswar on Tuesday.
Hundreds of students under the banner of Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) paralysed the functioning of the office for a long time demanding their evaluation at par with the regular students.
The protesting students raised slogans against the State government seeking Plus II board exam re-assessment on the basis of their Matriculation performance in exactly the same procedure that has been followed in case of Regular students.

“Earlier our college authorities had assured us that we would be marked on the basis of our Matric scorecards like the regular students in view of the Covid-19 pandemic. But later we were appalled to know that the results of around 11,000 ex-regular students have been withheld,” said a protestor.
“This kind of step-motherly attitude by the government towards us is sheer injustice. We should be given marks like the regular students or else we will continue our strike till our demands are met.
Spearheading the protesting with the students, Odisha ABVP Secretary Soubhagya Mohanty said, “Both regular and ex-regular students have suffered due to the ongoing pandemic. Evaluation process should be same for all. The government has taken the lop-sided decision in favour of the regular students as they have no practical knowledge about the ground reality."
Meanwhile, CHSE officials stated that the grievances of the students have been noted and it will be presented before the higher authorities soon.
"The Ex-regular students have submitted a memorandum on their demands and it will be presented before the appropriate committee within next seven days," said an official of the CHSE.
