The Vigilance sleuths of Odisha on Thursday were astounded to find IDCO’s junior manager Bijay Kumar Udayasingh possessing assets worth Rs 5.30 crore, 736% more wealth than his known sources of income.
During the raids, the Vigilance officials found Udayasingh possessing assets of Rs 5,30,72,717, which was calculated to be 736% of his known sources of income.
The Vigilance Department registered a case against Udayasingh and his spouse and later, arrested him.
During raids on the properties of Udayasingh, the following movable and immovable assets were unearthed:
1) One four-storey building with area approx 7500 Sqft. over Plot No.504, Khata No.189, Arya Vihar under Rajarani Mouza, Bhubaneswar worth over Rs.3.22 crore.
2) One flat vide No.430, Block-B, 4th floor under Balukhanda Mouza, Puri.
3) Thee high value home stead plots of which two in prime area of Bhubneswar and one in Khordha.
4) Bank and Insurance deposits of Rs.55,50,916.
5) Cash Rs.4.50 lakhs.
6) One four wheeler (Ford Eco Sports) and three two wheelers.
7) Gold and household articles worth around Rs.29 lakhs.
After thorough search, he was found in possession of disproportionate assets which were 736% in excess of his known sources of income.
A detailed investigation is underway.
