The Enforcement Directorate (ED) officials on Wednesday conducted simultaneous raids on several places associated with mines owner and former Champua MLA Jitu Patnaik over money laundering charges.
According to sources, the simultaneous searches were carried out at four places including Patnaik's residence in Joda and office at Baneikala chhak in Keonjhar.
Besides, Patnaik’s house at Kabisurya Nagar in Bhubaneswar was also searched on the basis of the case registered against him.
The law enforcement agency teams are said to have laid their hands on many crucial documents including hard disk during the search.
